GP Prescribing Systems & Processes
The following resources have been developed to support those involved in supporting or managing prescribing in primary care. The resources aim to help improve the consistency, safety, and efficiency of repeat prescribing systems in general practice. They provide a framework that enables GP practices and Primary Care Networks, working in collaboration with community pharmacies and patients, to streamline workloads, improve patient safety and care, address potential oversupply, and reduce medicines waste.
The repeat prescribing toolkit is a national good practice guidance on repeat prescribing. It has been developed collaboratively by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and Royal College of General Practice.
