About Us

The Medicines Optimisation Team supports all providers in Nottingham & Nottinghamshire ICB.

We also provide services and work with , Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County Councils, Nottingham University Hospitals, Sherwood Forest Hospitals Foundation Trust and Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.

The team provides services on the following areas:

  • Nottinghamshire Area Prescribing Committee and Joint Formulary Group
  • Management of Controlled Drugs
  • Medicines Governance and Safety
  • Support to Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County Councils for managing medicines within Care Homes and patients' own homes
  • Extraction and analysis of prescribing data
  • Production of medicines management guidelines for GP practices
